Every April, when the International Festival of Animated Film, the Animation Production Day, and FMX take place in Stuttgart, the city transforms into an international hub.
This special event brings together university partners, students, and creative professionals to exchange ideas and explore current research and projects in media, design, and technology.
HdM PlayFusion Game Jam – The Festival Week Jam
An Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP)
April 24th - 30th, 2027
Running alongside the Festival Week, the HdM PlayFusion Game Jam is part of the Erasmus+ funded Blended Intensive Programme (BIP).Students from across Europe and beyond will collaborate in a hybrid learning experience that combines an online preparation phase with an on-site Game Jam at HdM in Stuttgart.
The digital phase will take place during the week prior, 19–23 April 2027. The exact dates and times will be agreed upon during a planning meeting scheduled for January 2027.
The on-site phase in Stuttgart will take place from 24–30 April 2027. Participants should plan to arrive on 23 April 2027.
We are aiming for 5–10 students from each partner institution. Please let us know if you would like to invite more or fewer students so that we can plan accordingly.
During the Game Jam, participants will design and develop original games that highlight creativity, teamwork, and innovation. The resulting projects will be presented at the ITFS GameZone, offering international visibility for student creations.
All Game Jam participants will also receive exclusive access to the FMX Conference and the ITFS Festival—two of Europe’s leading events for animation, visual effects, and interactive media.
