"Studiera" in Stuttgart
The Hochschule der Medien (HdM) is located far above the valley basin in the centre of Stuttgart's university campus in the Vaihingen district. Idyllic surroundings and the Swabian metropolis are combined here in an attractive location. The neighbouring red deer park with the Solitude hunting and pleasure palace or the Bärenschlössle, a pavilion converted into a beer garden, speak for themselves. They were created by Duke Carl Eugen von Württemberg and, with their marvellous views, invite you to take a walk or enjoy a coffee and cake. The red deer enclosure with its deer also attracts many visitors.

Rural love meets city life
The Hochschule der Medien (HdM) is located on the outskirts of Stuttgart in the countryside. If you like jogging, you can plan your next run through the Rotwildpark to the "Bärenschlössle" beer garden. The Swabians would say: "Come on, we're going to the beer garden now." A snack platter and a Stuttgarter Helles beer might be waiting for you there.

Where you feel right at home: the student village at the HdM
A small student village has grown up around the HdM and the university with numerous halls of residence, pubs such as the "Unithekle", the canteen and much more. Although the canteen doesn't serve Maultaschen every day, Swabian classics are also served here from time to time. And if you think student halls of residence are always messy, you haven't heard of the Swabian "Kehrwoche" - here the broom even becomes a symbol of student discipline. Or is it? ;)

Haubdsach, mr bleibd in Bewegong - Sports opportunities for students
HdM students can take part in the University of Stuttgart's general university sports programme at reduced prices. The programme is varied and the courses often take place on campus in the immediate vicinity of the university. Those looking for refreshment in summer can cycle to the nearby outdoor pool in Vaihingen.

Delicacies for the mind: culture in Stuttgart
The offer for culture-hungry students ranges from the Staatsgalerie to the StadtPalais on the historic Wilhelmsplatz. The Mercedes-Benz Museum, a major German vehicle manufacturer, is also represented. On rainy days, students can visit the city library on Mailänder Platz, for example.

Treat yourself to a break in the countryside
In Stuttgart, numerous spacious green areas and gardens invite you to take a stroll. These include the Killesberg in the north and the Wilhelma, a zoological and botanical garden. The Karlshöhe between the districts of Stuttgart-Süd and Stuttgart-West is also worth a visit.

Fridas Beats or Babbla in the Mata Hari? - Nights, how we love them in the Ländle
You can dance your heart out in trendy clubs such as the "Proton". The event ship "Fridas Pier" is an insider tip. If you don't fancy loud music, you can round off the evening in the "Mata Hari" bar.

"Nothing is better than Schwobaländle"
In the Stuttgart area, the medieval Christmas market in Esslingen is recommended for students due to its unique flair. At the weekends, students can plan trips to Ludwigsburg, Tübingen, Lake Constance or the Swabian Alb.
