The Hochschule der Medien is expanding: a new building is being constructed next to the square building at Nobelstraße 10a. A second, modern four-storey "cube" will provide additional seminar, learning and work areas. The HdM itself is the client, as the first university of applied sciences in Baden-Württemberg. It is overseeing the project in cooperation with the University Building Office. It received planning permission in July 2025.
