Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen Medien is the only degree programme in Germany that specifically offers industrial engineering with a media focus. Practical lectures, projects and company collaborations impart skills for a modern and media-oriented labour market. Under the motto "Invent. Design. Steer." it qualifies graduates for work at the interfaces between business, technology, IT and media.

Invent. Design. Steer.
In the foundation programme (1st-2nd semester), students acquire knowledge in economics, natural sciences, software and web technologies and design. From the 3rd semester, the main course of study, they deepen their knowledge through compulsory and compulsory elective modules and the optional choice of specialisation in management, information technology or design.
Practical knowledge is consolidated in projects and the ‘WING Company’ simulates real company processes.
An internship semester in the 5th semester and an optional semester abroad round off the degree programme, which concludes with the Bachelor's thesis in the 7th semester and the title ‘Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)’.

The job market is as diverse as it is attractive. Graduates work in the digitalisation sectors of various industries: In media companies, media and advertising agencies, industrial companies and software houses.

A consecutive Master's degree in ‘Computer Science and Media’, ‘Digital Design’ or ‘Wirtschaftsinformatik’ is also possible at the HdM.
