For all those who prefer to ask rather than just know. The Master of Media Research is the springboard to a future in research and development. The main focus of the Master's programme is to impart knowledge and skills that enable creative, innovative and scientifically sound solutions to be developed for the challenges of science, society, culture and business. It is a cross-faculty Master's programme supported by the research lighthouses and institutes of the HdM.

Innovations arise where research is given space. The Master of Media Research creates an environment for explorative thinking, methodological depth and interdisciplinary approaches. Over three semesters, an individual topic is explored in depth - with the aim of developing new perspectives, making research visible and providing impetus for media, technology and society. A degree programme for the interface between gaining knowledge and shaping the future.

Angewandte Forschung stellt den größten Teil des Forschungsvolumens in Deutschland – sie ist Motor für Innovation, Transformation und gesellschaftlichen Fortschritt. Der Master of Media Research qualifiziert für anwendungsorientierte Forschung, Innovationsmanagement und strategische Entwicklung. Absolventen wirken in Forschungsinstituten, Innovationsabteilungen oder Unternehmensberatungen – überall dort, wo wissenschaftlich fundierte Erkenntnisse in zukunftsweisende Lösungen übersetzt werden. Auch eine Promotion bleibt offen – als nächster Schritt zur forschungsbasierten Führungsrolle.
