PhD students at the HdM
At the HdM, numerous young researchers are pursuing their PhDs on a wide variety of topics across three research areas:
- Technology & AI
- Society, Economics & Ethics
- User Experience & Interaction
The majority of PhD candidates are pursuing their doctorates in collaboration with a university in Germany or abroad. Since the introduction of the new option to undertake a PhD through the Baden-Württemberg “Promotionsverband”, the number of those taking advantage of this opportunity has also been growing.
Many PhD candidates work at the HdM as research assistants; some pursue their PhD projects in collaboration with a company – and some manage to complete their PhD alongside their ‘regular’ job.
Get to know the HdM’s PhD candidates and their research topics. If you’re interested, please feel free to get in touch!
Each year, about five PhD candidates successfully complete their theses – you can find the dissertations from previous years here.
