| Description: | Microcredentials are a key component of the EU’s development plan to embed lifelong learning and employability across EU Member States and to respond more dynamically to changing skills requirements. This research project examines the motivation, needs and strategic positioning of microcredentials amongst participants and small and medium-sized enterprises in Baden-Württemberg. The aim is to develop an empirically grounded model of user and company profiles, which are categorised and described on the basis of their motivations, needs and format preferences. Furthermore, the project analyses the role played by higher education institutions in the regional microcredential ecosystem from the perspective of SMEs. |
