The university’s buildings

The university itself is spread across several buildings on the campus:

  • Main Building (Nobelstraße 10): The heart of the HdM. As well as numerous lecture theatres, seminar rooms, computer labs and the student study area, this building houses the central administrative departments, such as the International Office, Digital Services and the IT infrastructure. The Rector’s Office and the offices for numerous degree programmes are also located in the main building. In addition, the ‘Sendepause’ cafeteria caters for the needs of HdM students and staff.
  • Technology Building: Directly adjoining the Main Building, the Technology Building houses numerous lecture theatres and laboratories. The in-house print shop and the facilities for print finishing and packaging technology are also located here.
  • Pavilion (Nobelstraße 10): Alongside the HdM’s central post office, the Pavilion houses the Makerspace and the Start-up Centre.
  • Nobelstraße 10a: The so-called “Würfel” (Cube) houses the HdM’s Continuing Education Centre, along with several seminar rooms, lecture theatres, a photography studio, a creative laboratory and the Convergent Media Centre.
  • Information Building (Nobelstraße 8): The ‘Zitronenschnitz’ is home to the Audimax, the HdM’s largest lecture theatre. Further lecture theatres, seminar rooms, computer labs, the Business Experience Lab and a TV and photography studio combine to create a well-equipped and modern learning environment for students. The ground floor and first floor of the building also house the library, which offers numerous quiet study spaces. Last but not least, students will also find the offices for some degree programmes here.
  • Nobelstraße 5: The offices of the HdM’s Start-up Centre are situated on the opposite side of Nobelstraße. There is also a ULab and the PUX here.
  • Modular buildings: The three container buildings house, amongst other things, the Student Union and numerous seminar and study rooms. Central administrative departments, such as Human Resources and Finance, as well as the Student Office and the Examinations Office, also have their offices here.

You can find the entrances to the respective buildings in our campus space search system, Terminal.
