Title of the PhD thesis:“Educational Co-Creation in the Digital Age”
Degree programme/department:Institute for Games
Supervisors:Prof. Dr Sabiha Ghellal, Dr Marianne Mcara (Glasgow School of Art)
Description:How does creativity emerge in teaching? What is needed to ensure that students feel confident enough to express it? This PhD project investigates how co-creative learning and design processes can emerge and succeed in creative STEM higher education. The focus is on digital and playful learning environments in which students do not merely consume knowledge but actively contribute to shaping the learning experience. The research examines which pedagogical, social and media-related factors create spaces where experimentation, failure and rethinking are possible, and how these factors impact agency, motivation and creativity. The aim is to develop a practice-oriented framework model for co-creative teaching in the digital age.
