As a state degree programme, Werbung und Marktkommunikation offers a combination of disciplines that are oriented towards the working practice of the communications industry and reflect it scientifically. Students are thus optimally prepared for the diverse professional fields.
The degree programme teaches the conception of communication and advertising content. Strategic, economic, social science, content and design elements are covered.

Practical training in the foundation and main degree programmes
The foundation programme provides basic knowledge in the areas of market communication, social sciences, media and communication, business, design and production. Students learn scientific methods and acquire social skills.
Conception and strategy, integrated market communication, online communication as well as communication and social sciences are the focus of the main study programme.
In addition to theoretical and interdisciplinary knowledge, there is a valuable practical element through the practical semester, project work, guest lectures and excursions.
The course concludes after seven semesters with the internationally recognised Bachelor of Arts degree.



Diverse opportunities after graduation
A wide range of options are open to you after graduation. It is possible to join communications agencies or departments of companies, organisations and institutions.
Examples of jobs include management tasks in the field of communication, planning or project management. Areas of employment can also be found in the fields of conceptualisation, strategy, analysis, text and graphics. Other professional fields include event and trade fair management, online marketing and social media management.
The path to self-employment is also open after graduation. The Bachelor's degree programme forms the basis for further Master's studies.
