Teaching
The Centre for Learning & Development at HdM supports lecturers with advice and coaching and offers newly appointed lecturers various events to make it easier for them to start teaching at HdM.
Launched in 2013, the Neckar Connection is a cooperation between the universities in the Neckar region: Nürtingen-Geislingen University of Applied Sciences, Esslingen University of Applied Sciences, Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences, Reutlingen University of Applied Sciences and Stuttgart Media University. The Neckar Connection offers lecturers from the cooperating universities a comprehensive, interdisciplinary didactic workshop programme.
The office of the Study Commission for Higher Education Didactics at Universities of Applied Sciences in Baden-Württemberg (GHD) offers a free higher education didactics course programme for professors, lecturers and academic staff in Baden-Württemberg. Teachers who are particularly committed to higher education didactics have the opportunity to acquire the Baden-Württemberg Certificate for Higher Education Didactics. The State Conference of Equal Opportunities Officers at universities of applied sciences in Baden-Württemberg and the DHBW(LaKoF) supports female academics on their way to a professorship at a university of applied sciences or a university of cooperative education.

The Mathilde Planck Lectureship Programmeprogramme aims to increase the number of female professors by awarding more teaching positions to female academics.
In the programme Dream Job Professor programme, tandems are formed between mentees from business/administration and mentors from a university of applied sciences. The aim is to attract more female professors to teaching and research.
