Study abroad
Studying where others go on holiday - a semester abroad definitely offers many exciting leisure opportunities. An aspect that should by no means be neglected. But a stay abroad also offers valuable broadening of horizons for the degree programme itself, which also offers our students enormous added value in the working world later on: What makes other universities tick? How do other education systems work? How does the culture affect work structures and collaboration? These are questions that no student should be without answers to "on site". There are numerous opportunities for this at the Hochschule der Medien.

Crediting
As a rule, coursework and examinations completed during a stay abroad can be recognised for studies at the HdM. The dean of studies or international representative of the respective degree programme is responsible for the recognition of credits earned abroad.
Achievements abroad do not have to be registered as part of the examination registration at the HdM. Instead, registration is an integral part of the recognition process. If it is necessary to register for examinations at the respective host university, students must register for their examinations there in accordance with the deadlines and requirements applicable at the host university.
