Become a teacher at the Language Centre

The Language Centre is the central point of contact for language training at Hochschule der Medien. It offers a comprehensive range of language courses for students and employees and thus contributes significantly to the international orientation of the university.

Freelance teachers wanted at the Language Centre

We are looking for teachers in the following areas

  • German as a foreign language at levels A1- C1
  • English at levels B1-C2 as well as specialised media and academic English
  • Spanish at levels A1-B2
  • German sign language

Your tasks

  • Teaching activities in study-accompanying courses
  • Independent preparation, lesson planning and implementation
  • Preparation, administration and evaluation of course and level examinations
  • Participation in preparatory instruction sessions

Your profile

  • A university degree (e.g. in philology, translation studies, etc.) or comparable qualification
  • Specialised language skills in the target language
  • Relevant teaching experience in the target language or in the teaching area at various levels, preferably in the academic field
  • You are flexible and motivated to work with heterogeneous learning groups
