Structured and diverse success in just three semesters
The three-semester Master of Science builds on a bachelor's degree in media technology or design and starts in the winter semester. A compulsory section (50 ECTS) teaches scientific methods, project management and prototyping. Students choose one of three profiles: 3D Audio & Music Technology, Visual Media Creation or Computer-Generated Imagery. Each profile includes specialised modules and an interdisciplinary Master's project. A further 20 ECTS can be taken flexibly from other profiles or HdM Master's programmes. The third semester is reserved for the research phase and the Master's thesis.

Future-oriented career opportunities in the creative industries
The degree qualifies graduates for managerial and research-orientated positions in all segments of the media and creative industries. Graduates work as post-production or VR supervisors, audio R&D engineers, virtual cinematographers, software or graphics engineers, experience designers, sound or colour specialists, media project managers, game developers or consultants for XR technologies. Employers range from film and sound studios to streaming and VFX houses, AR/VR start-ups and broadcast technology to research institutes, automotive and medical technology.
