The HdM as a co-operation partner
Stuttgart Media University (HdM) is a university of applied sciences and trains media specialists.
It covers all areas of media - from printing to the Internet, from design to business administration, from library science to advertising, from content for media to packaging technology, from computer science to information science to publishing and electronic media.
The HdM's research focuses are assigned to two central areas: the media technology focus and the media business and social sciences focus (Wiso der Medien). This structure makes it possible to work on current issues in a practical and interdisciplinary manner and to develop innovative solutions for different sectors.

Academic training for your company
Meet and greet with professors, a management game seminar, practical training seminars, contact study modules with a university certificate and part-time Master's programmes: we offer you and your employees further training tailored to your needs. Our programmes will inspire and retain your employees. As one of the leading training centres for media specialists, the HdM covers a wide range of subject areas as a state university. Our core competences lie in the interrelated integration of content, scientific, economic, technical and design aspects.
Our lecturers are at the cutting edge of research in their discipline and at the same time are familiar with everyday life in companies. Our professors make recognised contributions to science and practice and cooperate in numerous institutions such as the Institute for Applied Artificial Intelligence, the Institute for Games, the Institute for Applied Narrative Research and the Institute for Digital Ethics. Learners become students again and are part of our network. They benefit from our high-quality facilities, which ensure a sound application-oriented education.
The HdM's Centre for Continuing Education stands for academic programmes. Didactically and methodically with a high degree of activation, we teach your employees new skills in a variety of blended learning formats. These are documented by certificates and can be credited to our part-time Master's programmes in the form of credits (ECTS). The programmes are integrated into the university-wide quality management system.
In mid-2013, HdM became the third university of applied sciences in Germany to receive system accreditation. Since October 2015, HdM has also been recognised by the Karlsruhe Regional Council as an educational institution within the meaning of the Baden-Württemberg Education Time Act (BzG BW).
The programmes offered by the HdM Transfer and Further Education Company can be tailored even more individually to your needs. As a subsidiary of the HdM Friends and Sponsors Association, it offers a broad portfolio of lectures, projects, conferences, studies and certified continuing education programmes. It gives you access to the expertise of university professors and lecturers from business and the media industry who support our training courses, projects and studies.
